Position Summary
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Project Manager to provide project management support for enterprise-wide information technology initiatives for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) as part of a potential opportunity.
The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, coordination, reporting, and delivery of IT projects across multiple functional areas, including cloud operations, cybersecurity, software development, infrastructure modernization, service management, and enterprise applications. The Project Manager will work directly with AFOSI leadership, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently and aligned with mission priorities.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will oversee the planning, execution, coordination, reporting, and delivery of IT projects across multiple functional areas, including cloud operations, cybersecurity, software development, infrastructure modernization, service management, and enterprise applications. The Project Manager will work directly with AFOSI leadership, technical teams, and stakeholders to ensure projects are executed efficiently and aligned with mission priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate multiple IT projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, project plans, milestones, risk registers, and status reports.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Daily Stand-Ups, and Backlog Refinement sessions.
- Monitor project performance and track progress against established objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate activities among technical teams, stakeholders, and government leadership.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications and status reporting.
- Prepare executive briefings, technical reports, meeting minutes, memorandums, and other project documentation.
- Support enterprise-wide IT initiatives driven by policy changes, technology modernization efforts, and mission requirements.
- Maintain project documentation and records in accordance with government standards and procedures.
- Support configuration management, change management, and governance processes.
- Participate in recurring meetings with government leadership and provide project updates and recommendations.
- Ensure project activities align with AFOSI priorities, contractual requirements, and organizational objectives.
Required Qualifications:
Clearance Requirement
- Active Top Secret security clearance is required.
- Ability to maintain required clearance throughout contract performance.
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following disciplines: Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing Information Technology projects.
- Demonstrated experience applying both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Experience facilitating Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Experience managing project schedules, resources, risks, and deliverables.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level IT initiatives.
- Experience developing executive-level reports, briefings, and project documentation.
- Experience coordinating with senior leadership and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Federal Government, Department of Defense (DoD), or Intelligence Community experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, project scheduling and resource management tools, risk and issue management, change management processes, and Agile project management tools and methodologies.
