Hybrid: Approximately 3 days on site per week (Joint Base Andrews and Pentagon).
Nationwide IT Services is currently looking for a Planner, Journeyman  for our SAF/AQB customer on our STAQSS II contract.
The STAQSS II contract supports the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ).  The objective is to provide specialized expertise to complement the organization’s inherent resources for effective and efficient mission accomplishment and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence. The contractor shall support the entire spectrum of acquisition and sustainment efforts as necessary to support the respective Government organizations.
SAF/AQB - Department of the Air Force Scientific Advisory Board
AQB is responsible for providing administrative support needed to enable Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) activities. These activities include, but are not limited to, the following: assisting in editing, publishing, and maintaining SAB reports and briefs, tracking responses/actions from recommendations made by the SAB, processing all documentation for appointments and reappointments, planning and executing classified and unclassified board meetings, and ensuring SAB activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and directives; to include the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), Air Force Instructions (AFI)/Department of the Air Force Instruction (DAFI), Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI), Ethics, etc.
This position is responsible for and primarily focuses on planning meetings and conferences (within the NCR and outside of the NCR, CONUS) for the SAB.

Tasks for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Coordinating, tracking, and reporting travel arrangements for SAB conference attendees.
  • Develop trip books and agendas for SAB meetings.
  • Compile read-ahead materials. d. Identify and schedule briefers.
  • Processing travel vouchers in DTS.
  • Coordinate meeting logistics to include travel itineraries, transportation, and food.
  • Inform guest speakers of potential discussion topics.
  • Engaging SAB members and external stakeholders on travel-related items.
  • Tracking and reporting SAB member’s time worked, travel order status, travel voucher status, meeting, and attendee status, etc.
  • Develop conference registration information.
  • Develop metrics, track performance, periodically report performance metrics, and make improvement recommendations.
  • Participate in specials projects and perform other necessary duties in support of SAB. 
  • Provide executive support to 55+ senior-level Scientific Advisory Board members.
  • Handles confidential and classified (Secret/TS-SCI) information, correspondence, and communications.
  • Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as coordinated with the COR.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years work experience with MS Access
  • Knowledge of Joint Federal Travel Regulation (JFTR)
  • Familiarity with Air Force or DoD protocol.
  • Requires attention to detail, knowledge of the Privacy Act regulations, and CUI handling.

Work Experience Substitutions:
6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
Associate degree plus 4 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
