Position Overview:
Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is supporting the Staffing and Technical Acquisition Services Support (STAQSS) prime contract for the Headquarters Air Force. We have an opportunity for an Administrative Specialist, Journeyman to support 2 senior leaders in AQH.

SAF/AQH – Office of the Assistant Secretary for Acquisition (Acquisition Career Management)
The Air Force focal point for integrated management of the acquisition workforce across all functional areas. Responsible for leading the Acquisition Professional Development Program, including implementing programs and policies, develops, reviews, and coordinates policy and strategic plans for the Air Force acquisition workforce. Responsible for: managing the acquisition training office and funding to achieve strategic objectives for the workforce; career field management for scientists, engineers and acquisition program managers; management of SAF/AQ- assigned personnel including fill actions for civilian and military positions in coordination with the Air Force District of Washington (AFDW) and the Air Force Personnel Center (AFPC); management of the Acquisition Demonstration (AcqDemo) program; and the military officer management level review (MLR) promotion processes for SAF/AQ; SAF/AQ unit awards program, oversight of SAF/AQ manpower and support Contractors. 
This position is responsible for executive assistant, administrative work to 2 senior leaders in AQH.
Tasks for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Performing administrative duties such as maintaining directorate calendars and phone lists, executing government administrative policies, greeting visitors, and answering phones.
  • Engaging AQH members and external stakeholders on travel-related items. Processing, tracking, and distributing travel arrangements and DTS orders, processing travel vouchers in DTS.
  • Receiving and distributing mail, managing correspondence, and action item tasking and tracking including monitoring suspenses in the AF task management tool, and reviewing correspondence for correctness, managing, organizing, and ordering office supplies.
  • Setting-up and maintaining formal records and directorate file plan, creating, editing, and maintaining AQH SharePoint site.
  • Any other tasks closely associated with the performance of duties list above and as coordinated with the COR.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related discipline.
  • At least 3 years work experience with DTS, Privacy Act regulations and JFTR travel regulations.
  • Requires attention to detail.

Work Experience Substitutions:
6 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
Associate degree plus 4 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a BA/BS degree.
